Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme is an initiative from the government of Telangana that primarily focuses on providing financial support to the brides in the state. K. Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana announced the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme to empower the women of Telangana. by giving financial aid to the brides for their marriage. The beneficiaries of this scheme are those women or bride who comes from a family which is economically or financially weak.

There’s no religious barrier in the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme of Telangana as whether the bride is from the Hindu community or Muslim community, both can be beneficiaries of this welfare scheme. The only difference is that for the Hindu community the scheme name is Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme and for the Muslim community, it is Shadi Mubarak Scheme.

Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme came into existence in the month of October 2023 and initially it was announced for the SC/ST, Minorities & financially weaker section of the state. At the time of launch, the government of Telangana announced the financial aid which will be given to the beneficiaries will be Rs. 51,000 which was later increased to Rs. 75,000 in 2023 and further it increased to Rs.1,00,116 in 2023.

According to a recent report from the Telangana Today news portal, the state government has allocated a sum of Rs.2,750 crore for the functioning of the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scheme for the year 2023-23. The state government has reported that till now the scheme has benefitted around 8,04,521 beneficiaries and for the same, the government has spent around Rs.6,480 crores.

- Step.1 – To start the application process, visit the ePASS portal of Telangna by following this link or using this URL ” telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in “.
- Step.2 – From the homepage of the official ePASS portal, select the Kalyana Lakshmi Shadi Mubarak option given as shown in the image given below.
- Step.3 – A new page will open where you need to click on the registration button given in front of the schemes. Applicants are required to click on the registration button according to the scheme they want to apply for. To register for the Shadi Mubarak scheme, click on the registration button given under the Shadi Mubarak scheme tab and similar for the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme. - Step.4 – According to your selection, the form page of the scheme will appear on the screen where the applicants are required to fill in various details like:
- Beneficiary name, father/mother name
- DOB, Adhar details

Eligibility Criteria For Kalyana Lakshmi scheme/ Shadi Mubarak Scheme of Telangana
Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme
- SC ( Scheduled Caste ), ST ( Scheduled Tribes ), BC ( Backward Caste ), EBC (Economically Backward Classes ) are eligible to become beneficiaries of this scheme.
- The applicant must be of legal marriage age which is 18 years.
- Family income should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000 per annum. For BC and EBC category living in the rural areas, it should not exceed Rs. 1,50,000.
- Only residents of Telangana can become a beneficiary of the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme.
- The benefit of the scheme can only be availed for 1st marriage in case of more than 1 marriage.
Shadi Mubarak Scheme
- Only Permanent residents of the state can apply for the Shadi Mubarak scheme.
- The family income should not exceed Rs.2,00,000/- pet annum.
- Legal marriage age must be attained to take the benefits of the Shadi Mubarak Scheme.
- The benefit of the scheme can only be availed for 1st marriage in case of more than 1 marriage.

To check the status of the scheme you applied for, follow the step by step process given below.
Kalyana laxmi status check online
- From the homepage of the official ePASS portal of Telangana, scroll down and click on the Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak option.
- Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam Services page will open where you need to select the print/status button given along with the scheme name. For reference check the image given below.
- A new page will open where you need to enter the bride’s Aadhaar number and the phone number given at the time of application or registration then click on the get status & print button.
How to edit Shadi Mubarak & Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme Application
- To edit your Shadi Mubarak or Kalyana Lakshmi scheme application, select the Kalyana Lakshmi Shadi Mubarak option given on the homepage of the ePASS portal of Telangana.
- Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam Services Page will open where you need to click on the edit/upload button given under the Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam For SC, ST, BC, EBC tab and the Shaadi Mubarak Services For Minority tab.
- The scheme Edit page will open where you need to enter the marriage id and registered phone number then click on get details.
- Now your application details will appear on the screen and from there the applicant can make the required changes and re-submit the application.
For Grievance
- To register any Grievance, visit the official ePASS portal of Telangana and from the homepage clcik on the Grievance option given in the left bar.
- The Grievance page will open where you need to click on the new Grievance registration option.
- The Grievance form page will open where you need to fill in some details like
- Name of the scheme
- Application ID
- Type of Grievance
- Email and mobile number
- After writing your Grievance, upload the document if any and then click on the submit button.
Check the kalyana laxmi status 2023 of your filed Grievance
- From the Grievance page, click on the Check your Grievance Status option.
- A new page will open where you need to enter your Grievance ID and click on the submit button.
- After validation of your provided Grievance ID, the status of your Grievance will appear on the screen.
