IIMs are considered India’s leader national institutes offering superior education in management and investigation. IIMs mainly tender postgraduate, doctoral and administrative education programmes.
The flagship programme of IIM is the two-year post-graduate diploma commonly known as Master of Business Administration (MBA). These two-year programmes are housing in nature. The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a full-time doctoral-level programme in management and exploration equivalent to a PhD degree. The Executive Post Graduate programmes are under attack for working professionals.

Admission to the two year MBA programmes in IIMs is on good Score, based on a precise assortment process that involves Group Discussions, Written Ability Tests, Personal Interviews and scores in the Common Admission Test which is usually known as CAT. CAT is a management aptitude test carried out by the IIMs chiefly to price and select candidates for the postgraduate programme. It is a computer-based exam available for eager and eligible candidates to record and take once a year.

CAT is performed by the Indian Institutes of Management as a precondition for admittance to various management programmes of IIMs, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a few other institutions. CAT 2023 had a 170-minute test consisting of 100 questions of which 50 were from quantitative ability and data interpretation and 50 were from verbal ability & logical reasoning.
The Common Admission Test (CAT), like almost all large-scale exams, exploits multiple forms, or accounts of the test. Hence there are two types of scores involved namely, a raw score and a scaled score. The raw score is considered for each section based on the number of questions one answered correctly, incorrectly, or omitted. Applicants are given 3 Marks for each correct answer and -1 negative marking for each wrong answer.
