Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Yojana (PMSMY) Objectives

• Ensure care provision by a physician/specialist in at least one antenatal visit in the second or third trimester.
• Improve the quality of care provision during ante-natal visits.
• Offer additional opportunities to pregnant women who have missed their ante-natal visits due for any reason.
• Identification and line-listing of high-risk pregnancies based on obstetric medical history and existing clinical conditions.
• Special emphasis on early diagnosis, and adequate and appropriate management of women with malnutrition conditions like Anemia, will be provided during these clinics.
