Before the intermediate examination result, the Bihar Board has fixed the rules for giving grace marks to needy candidates. This time up to 10% grace marks will be given to the candidates of Matriculation and Intermediate. However, the board has said that if any candidate fails in the language subject, then they will not get any grace marks.

This time Bihar Board has decided to give a maximum of 10 percent grace marks in the Intermediate and Matriculation examinations for the first time. Earlier, the board used to get a maximum of 8 percent grace marks in one subject and up to 4 – 4 marks in two subjects. As per the rules issued
If the total of a candidate is 75 percent but he has failed in any one subject, then the Bihar Board can give grace marks up to 10 percent for talking to the candidate. Provided that the candidate has not availed any other benefit

Bihar Board has made it clear that this rule will be applicable to regular students only. Former students will not get the benefit of this rule, According to Bihar Board, it is mandatory for the student to pass in the language subject. No grace marks will be given in the language subject if the board considers it to be compulsory to pass in the theory paper subject.
