The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has announced the results of the first year exams (Class XII) for the year 2023. The overall pass percentage is recorded as 58.02%. Girls have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 61.04%, as against the boys’ pass percentage of 54.92%.

The district-wise pass percentage reveals that Chittoor has recorded the highest pass percentage of 73.14%, while Srikakulam has the lowest pass percentage of 44.04%. Hyderabad has the highest pass percentage for girls at 72.39%, while Vizianagaram has the lowest pass percentage for girls at 36.36%.
The subject-wise pass percentage shows that Telugu has the highest pass percentage at 91.87%, while Hindi has the lowest pass percentage at 38.89%. In terms of boys, the subject with the highest pass percentage is Telugu at 93.57%, while the subject with the lowest pass percentage is Hindi at 36.36%. For girls, the subject with the highest pass percentage is Telugu at 96.36%, while the subject with the lowest pass percentage is Hindi at 33.33%.
In terms of the overall pass percentage, the highest pass percentage is recorded in the commerce stream at 66.02%, while the lowest pass percentage is in the arts stream at 50.48%. The highest pass percentage for boys is in the commerce stream at 60.92%, while the lowest pass percentage is in the arts stream at 46.15%. The highest pass percentage for girls is in the commerce stream at 71.43%, while the lowest pass percentage is in the arts stream at 44.44%.
